Description of Angelite
Angelite is a pale blue form of anhydrite, a calcium sulfate mineral. It shows soft sky-blue to lavender-blue tones, sometimes with white flecks, and rates about 3.5 on the Mohs scale. Angelite takes a gentle, satiny polish, but it is soft and should be kept away from water, which can dull the surface over time.
