Description of Rudraksha
Rudraksha is not a stone but the dried seed of the Elaeocarpus ganitrus tree, which grows in the Himalayan foothills and parts of Southeast Asia. Each bead has natural grooves called mukhis, and its textured brown surface is left largely natural rather than polished. Rudraksha has been used for prayer beads in Hindu and Buddhist traditions for centuries.
